The physicians have been given all the knowledge and training to handle many problems, such as: muscle cramps, muscular dystrophy, Lyme disease, bunions, hip dysplasia. Patients may be referred to a specialist if they have plantar fasciitis, rickets, bone spurs, claw toe, carpal tunnel syndrome, neurofibromatosis, hammer toe, tendonitis, sciatica, spinal fractures, scoliosis or a number of other issues.

If an individual can find a physician who specializes in the problem they are having they will speed up the process of getting treatment and therefore, the process of healing.
