Steps In Making Do It Yourself Spa Heat Wraps

By Essie Osborn

When you make a body wrap, the fist thing that you must bear in mind is to take time in the preparation. This step would include your time for shopping of the necessary products to use. This might even last up to few days and do not make this on the last minute.

There are not instant packages of these in stores which you could use immediate without much preparation but it is also possible to make one. Spa heat wraps are primarily prepared with the use of rolls of bandages which are elastic and of different sizes and a typical adult may need up to fifteen of them. They can now be bought in a pharmacy or you may order directly from medical supply stores.

The next step that you have to take is to buy some safety pins which are large enough to fasten the bandages or you may look for them in your sewing kit. These will be needed because it would be hard to keep the whole thing in place if not because of these. Most of the bandages would already include some clips however pins would be better for a smoother work.

Moreover, you should as well secure the necessary solution and these can be readily bought in most stores but you may opt to make your personal solution. All you have to do is to obtain the necessary ingredients. The contents and amounts of each ingredient would depend on the health needs and the aroma therapeutic preferences of the user.

One more object that you have to obtain is the sweat suit made up of PVC which is a rubber like material that can be bought in most sporting good shops. You would not be paying a lot for this because of its inexpensive price and this is great in promoting sweat when you do activities such as jogging. This can also be fastened by velcro or even by strings.

Then, you should also be turning on the heater inside your home or if you will be applying the pieces in the bathroom, you can bring a small portable heater. This would be helpful in keeping you from feeling chilly during the application. You should also make sure that there will be no drafts in the room.

It would then be the right time to then be time for you to gather up all the tools for wrapping in order to set them up and you can also get a handy book for reading. You may preoccupy yourself with reading while you wait. You may then be ready to mix your solutions and use the hot water from the tap.

The mixed solution should then be poured into a bucket which should be enough for the soaking of the bandages. To avoid burning your skin, you may add cooler water or adjust the temperature of the tub. Then do the soaking until the ingredients would be absorbed and then remove one wet wrap at a time.

Furthermore, you need to wrap your body with these tightly but avoid making it too much that it will block your circulation. Start with your lower legs and end right on top of the knee and do this alternately for each limb. Any skin should not be exposed but they should be covered.
